WHAT IS A MEDICAL CONSULTATION?

A Medical Consultation is either a 60- or 90 minute, one-to-one appointment with a qualified doctor. We hold these Consultations throughout the year.

We also offer an extended, 120 minute, one-to-one Consultation for those who would like to have feedback on their personal statement.

IS A MEDICAL CONSULTATION RIGHT FOR ME?

If you are, or are thinking about, applying to Medical or Dental Schools, you can definitely benefit from one of our Consultations.

Our Senior Consultants give honest, constructive feedback, and will help you to assess the strength of your application relative to your year's cohort. They will be happy to talk to you about different courses which are on offer, for example Biomedical Sciences, and they are experienced in talking to students who are undecided as to the subject(s) they would like to pursue.

Whilst there is no minimum age for a Medical Consultation, we do not typically see students who are under the age of 14. This is to ensure that the motivation for the Consultation and applying to Medical or Dental Schools is that of the student.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING MY MEDICAL CONSULTATION?

During the consultation, you will be assessed for your suitability for your chosen course, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. The Senior Consultant will be happy to address any concerns, and will offer constructive feedback and advice in terms of how you can take your application forward, and maximise your chances of success.

After your consultation, your Senior Consultant will send you written feedback summarising your session.

WHEN CAN I HAVE MY MEDICAL CONSULTATION?

Our Oxbridge Consultations are run seven days a week, and can take place at our Surrey or London offices, or over Skype. We have Senior Consultants who can also cater for different time zones.

WHAT IS THE COST OF A MEDICAL CONSULTATION?

The cost of a 60 minute Consultation is £210; 90 minutes is £295; 120 minutes £350. This also includes the written feedback.

Should you choose this Consultation together with a one-off personal statement assessment, we ask for personal statements to be sent to us via e-mail at least 48 hours before the Consultation is to take place. This is to ensure that your Senior Consultant has the opportunity to read and review your work ahead of your meeting.
